Emily is currently a second year, 15-month accelerated student at the University of Chicago School of Social Service Administration. Her studies specifically focus on International Social Welfare within the Social Administrative concentration. Emily is a recently returned Peace Corps Volunteer who taught English, trained teachers, and developed projects aimed at gender equality within the educational system at a high school in rural Cambodia. She received a Bachelors of Social Work at Xavier University where she gained experience working on issues such as substance abuse, homelessness and inequality within the criminal justice system. Emily hopes to work to promote the rights and ensure the protection of vulnerable adolescents both domestically and abroad.
