IOFA is dedicated to improving the lives of young people by addressing critical and emerging issues affecting vulnerable adolescents around the world. IOFA is currently focused on empowering orphaned youth and preventing child trafficking. To learn more about IOFA and what we do, please visit About Us and Our Work.

Where does IOFA work?
IOFA’s projects have been based in the United States and in more than 22 countries around the world. Our current projects are based in Illinois, New York, Cambodia, and Ethiopia. For more information please see Locations and Current Projects.

Why does IOFA’s work focus on adolescents?
Adolescence is a risky stage in the lives of many young people, and the transition from childhood to adulthood can be very difficult, especially for youth living in poverty, in areas of political instability, or without access to traditional family and community networks. Despite these issues, few programs focused on serving at-risk youth exist. For more information on vulnerable youth, please click here.
