Position:             Bookkeeper/Finance/Accounting Specialist

Position Type:  Consultant – Part-Time (5 – 10 hrs/month)

Start Date:         Immediate

End Date:           September 30, 2020

Location:            Remote

Hourly Rate:    $40.00/hour          

About IOFA

IOFA is an independent, non-partisan, non-profit organization in the United States. IOFA was founded in response to a gap in programs and services for adolescents worldwide. IOFA was the first organization dedicated to addressing the trafficking of children and youth in the United States. Since its inception in 1999, IOFA has worked to end the sex and labor trafficking and exploitation of young people across 5 continents and in more than 23 countries.


1. Assist with all financial aspects of the organization, including:

  • reconciling organization budget
  • keeping QuickBooks updated and accurate
  • handling private donations
  • assist in preparing for annual non-profit audit

2. Handle all financial aspects of a federally-funded program, including:

  • tracking expenditures and processing expense reports
  • balancing budget
  • submitting weekly requests to federal government for reimbursement

providing financial data for quarterly and end reports


    • Must have Finance or Accounting Degree
    •  Must have minimum of two years accounting or bookkeeping experience in A/R, A/P, general ledger, financial reports and other areas of accounting
    • Comprehensive knowledge of accounting procedures
    • Experience working with non-profits
    • Comfort and previous success working remotely
    • Successful experience working with QuickBooks, and balancing and reconciling budgets
    • Clear communication skills
