IOFA staff and graduate assistants designed and implemented a study aimed at assessing the operation, structure, and best practices of shelters throughout the world that provide housing to victims of human trafficking. The study identified more than 160 shelters in 59 countries and 100 were surveyed for this report to the U.S. Department of State’s Office to Monitor and Combat Global Trafficking in Persons.
