Tanya Estrada Gomez (she/her/ella) is a Graduate Student Intern at IOFA. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Criminology and Justice Studies from California State University, Northridge. As an undergraduate student, Tanya conducted a research project on police legitimacy studying civilian attitudes towards police contacts. She has previously interned for the Criminal Investigations Division at the Metropolitan Police Department in Washington, D.C. She is currently pursuing a joint master’s degree in public policy and social work at the University of Chicago. She has been working with IOFA since June 2022 and supports the administration and programming teams to address both sex and labor trafficking in the Chicago area and around the United States.
