Lara Kingstone (She/Her/Hers) serves as the Task Force Coordinator of the Westchester County Anti-Trafficking Task Force. Lara started her career as a mentor in a program designed to integrate London communities and support young people in becoming active and engaged citizens. Lara earned a BA in Political Communications at IDC Herzliya, while working as a journalist at The Culture Trip and producing and hosting a human rights radio program. While studying, she also worked at an educational center that aimed to help Palestinian and Israeli young people learn together. Since then, she has worked with human trafficking, gender-based violence prevention and local knowledge preservation on the Thai-Lao border and has worked in community outreach for an LGBTQ+ non-profit seeking to support youth in foster care. She spent three years managing the communications team for a survivor-led organization, Sahiyo, which aims to end Female Genital Cutting and support survivors. Lara holds a Master’s Degree in Social Development from University College London. She comes to this work with a trauma informed, survivor-centered and culturally responsive lens.
