Human Trafficking: Modern Enslavement of Immigrant Women in the United States

Immigrant women are especially subject to being trafficked because the lure and false promises of employment and stability for their families. Often, their passports and other legal documents are withheld which restrains the person from leaving the situation, in addition to physical threats and threats of deportation.
